How do I use PREVAGE^TM?
It’s easy to fit PREVAGE^TM antioxidant cream into your daily skin care regimen. Apply to your clean, dry face before moisturizers, retinoids, or any other products you may be using.

Thoroughly massage a pea-sized dose of PREVAGE^TM antioxidant cream into your face and neck 1 to 2 times daily or as recommended by your physician.

Can I use PREVAGE^TM antioxidant cream with retinoids or other skin care products?
Generally yes, although it is recommended you consult with your physician to be certain.

Does PREVAGE^TM antioxidant cream work better than other topical antioxidants?
Yes. PREVAGE^TM antioxidant cream is scientifically proven to be more effective than other topical antioxidants in protecting your skin against environmental stresses known to cause skin aging.¹ These other antioxidants include kinetin (used in Kinerase^®), coenzyme Q10 (used in Q10 Plus Wrinkle Control products from NIVEA^®), lipoic acid (used in N.V. Perricone products), vitamin C, and vitamin E (used in many products).

Does PREVAGE^TM antioxidant cream take the place of my sunscreen?
No. While PREVAGE^TM antioxidant cream does protect your skin against environmental stressors, you should still use sunscreen daily with an SPF of at least 15.

Will PREVAGE^TM antioxidant cream cause burning or stinging?
No. In patient trials, PREVAGE^TM antioxidant cream did not cause burning or stinging.

Will PREVAGE^TM antioxidant cream cause any other skin reactions?
Whether or not they have sensitive skin, some patients experience breakouts any time they change their skin care regimen. If this happens to you, we recommend that, in order to reduce the possibility of a breakout occurring, use PREVAGE^TM antioxidant cream once a day for the first two weeks and then begin using it twice a day.

What is the difference between PREVAGE^TM antioxidant cream and AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids)?
AHAs are obtained from fruits, sugar cane, and sour milk and are found in a variety of skin care products including moisturizers, cleansers, and sunscreens. AHAs act primarily as exfoliants, helping to shed the outermost layer of the skin to make it look smoother and less wrinkled.

PREVAGE^TM antioxidant cream works differently. It contains idebenone, an antioxidant that scavenges harmful free radicals in the cells of your skin and protects it from damage from external environmental stresses such as UV light, air pollution, ozone, and cigarette smoke, to name a few. PREVAGE^TM antioxidant cream also reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as skin roughness and dryness, and evens skin tone to restore youthful-looking skin.
